Nesting?!?

I've heard a lot about how pregnant women can go through a "nesting" period shortly before they give birth. 4 weeks to my due date and I'm still waiting for that urge! While it frustrates me that my house is not clean and organized and the nursery is not put together, all I really ever feel like doing when I get home from work is sitting and doing nothing. I really hope this whole nesting thing will kick in soon!! Either that or I may have to hire a cleaning service...

Greeley Baby Shower

Shell planned my first Baby Shower. Though she gave me hints every now and then as to the food and decorations, she kept the theme a surprise right down to making me close my eyes as I came through the doors of the clubhouse. (I may or may not post the video that Jim took of me walking in with my eyes shut!) She chose a Baby Pooh and Friends theme that was just adorable! It was obvious that lots of time and effort went in to everything, even if I hadn't been on the other end of several phone calls during the process! I was so surprised and happy to see all of my guests. Jim had gone down before it started to see if he could lend a hand and ended up staying through the shower to visit with his family who'd mostly come from the Denver area. My Dad played photographer and I'm sure did an amazing job, though I haven't seen his pics yet. I had a really great time and feel so blessed to have a friend like Shell who is able to overcome the tremendous loss she's had in her life and still throw an absolutely fabulous Baby Shower!

How Zack spent last weekend...

While Zack is my biggest lovebug, he's also VERY afraid of strangers that come into the house. Having Brandon here working on the nursery last weekend had Zack searching for anywhere possible to hide. We've put locks on most of the cabinets in the kitchen, but he found his way into the medicine cabinet.

Another favorite spot is under the hutch in the dining room...
And this one was brand new!! Unfortunately, the back of our love seat has been destroyed by cats' claws. This is good news for Zack, who crawled into a hole created by all the scratching! It took us quite a while to find him here and I just had to take a picture when we did...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Jim and I celebrated V-Day with dinner and a hockey game last night. We saw the Eagles play (and lose) at the Budweiser Events Center. Today we've been taking it easy for the most part. One of the guys from work is fixing up the nursery for us; making the walls easier to paint by taping and texturing them (yes, we're a little behind.) He was here until just after 2 and now we're waiting (hoping) for the second round of snow to start! Maybe we'll have a movie by the fire tonight! A weekend in Pueblo...

I went home the last weekend in January. I didn't get many pictures (what was I thinking???). I did have lots of fun with friends and family, though. Friday night was chatting and drinks with Ash and Audrey at Barnes & Noble. Saturday I made it out to see Jackie and Fred at their new place and got to see how much Brandon has grown!!! Sunday was church with my Mom and Michelle and a movie later (New in Town - SOOOO funny!) with Mom, Kristi, Michelle, Kassidy, Ash and Jan. A nice relaxing weekend...and only 2 pics to show for it. So here you go, Jenn! 30 weeks and counting, 2 weeks ago.

I also found out some exciting news. Michelle and her boyfriend Julian are expecting a baby some time late summer/early fall. I'm excited and scared for her, just like I was for myself! She is ever so happy, and I'm going to be a great-Aunt!!
