Ethnic festivities

Paul's mom and sister came up north to go to the Scottish/Irish Festival in Estes Park with us on September 8th. We got there pretty late, but still enjoyed looking around at everything and listening to the drum corps and bag pipes. It was a great day weather wise and I had a lot of fun hanging out with my favorite man and his family.

Should I feel old???!!!

My niece, Michelle, got her driver's license in the mail on Tuesday the 4th. I was there to document the "occasion". I can't believe that she is 17 and old enough to drive!!! Congrats, girl!

Congrats John & Rebekah!!

My little brother from my adopted Greeley family got married on Saturday, September 1st. I got to have fun with his bride leading up to the wedding, and the final affair was quite beautiful. Congrats to you both and may you enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!

Hello, Goodbye

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of spending a triple birthday celebration with Paul's family. Both his grandparents on his mother's side, and his sister have birthdays in August, so they decided to do one get together for the three. We had yummy chicken tacos and tostadas, and of course cake and ice cream. I must admit that meeting the rest of the family, having met Paul's mom and sister the weekend before at Dave & Buster's, was a little nerve wracking. However, I feel we got along really well, and Paul's grandpa even sang to me!!

Sadly, on the morning of August 31st, Paul's grandma decided it was time to go home. His grandpa said that when he asked her what she was looking at near the ceiling, she said "angels". Her passing has been pretty hard on Paul and the rest of the family. I'm so very glad that I got to meet her at all, and know that she's now in a much better place. Some people come into our lives for only a moment, and yet leave a lifetime impression. I'm sure Katherine Csogi will be one of those people for me.

A year already??

That's right! I've had my blogspot page for just over a year now. Who'da thunk?! Now if I could just hit that 100th post mark!
